seth jones, director of bands
Seth Jones has been Director of Bands at Spring-Ford since August 2012.
Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor's Degree in Clarinet Performance from Carnegie Mellon University (PA), a Master's Degree in Music Education from Northwestern University (IL), and is completing a Master's Degree in Wind Conducting from West Chester University (PA).
Prior to his appointment at Spring-Ford, Mr. Jones worked as the Assistant Band Director at Saratoga HS (CA) and Band Director at Matawan HS (NJ).
At Spring-Ford, Mr. Jones' ensembles have earned consistent Superior Ratings at PMEA Festival. Under his direction, the Golden Rams Marching Band has been crowned a Circuit Champion 8 times. In 2015, 2016, and 2017, the Spring-Ford Golden Rams were a Bands of America Regional Finalist.
Mr. Jones' Symphonic Band performed at the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association Inservice Convention in 2016.
Mr. Jones is active in NAfME, PMEA, and ABA. Currently, he serves as President of PMEA District 11.
Mr. Jones resides in Phoenixville, PA with his wife Riley (also a Spring-Ford educator), their Lab-Rottweiler Chaucer and two cats, Izzie and Stella.
